1) What is Impact?
Impact, the largest Dungeon in the Midsouth, began in 1998.
It is governed by a Council and run by a Management team, whose
purpose is to provide a Safe, Sane and Consensual environment
for people to explore Alternative Lifestyles. We have parties
every Saturday night. Please visit our website or sign up for
our Yahoo! mailing
list. |
2) Are these play parties or socials?
A little bit of both. Many people come to play and use the fabulous
equipment that we have, but many people also come just for
fellowship and to socialize with other like-minded individuals. |
3) Who can I tell about Impact?
Discretion is absolutely necessary! Please use common sense.
This is especially important away from our events. Please do not
share information about our location or activities to others
outside the group. What you hear or see in the group stays in
the group! Also, please don't approach others from the group in
public. They may be with friends, family or business associates
who are unaware of their interests. If you think someone you
know would be legitimately interested in Impact, then you may
bring him or her as a guest (if you are a paid member);
otherwise, please refer them to Membership
to set up an intake interview. |
4) Is there a dress code?
No. While other clubs may require fetish attire, Impact only
wants you to be COMFORTABLE. Attendees may wear leather, latex,
lingerie, formal wear, or even nothing at all! Street clothes
ranging from shorts and tees to business suits/dresses are often
seen, too. So it's all about what YOU feel best wearing! We do
require, however, that everyone arrive at the facility wearing
street legal clothing so as to not attract undue attention to
our establishment. Changing rooms are provided. |
5) How do I get invited to Impact?
You must go as a guest of a current PAID member or have an
intake interview with a member of the Membership
Committee to set up a meeting. |
6) How do I get to be a member of
Impact?
You must be interviewed by a Screening
Committee member, sign a waiver of liability and pay an
annual membership fee. Memberships
are one time annual fees, and run January-January. You can come
twice without being a member, but at that point we *ask* that
you support us by joining. Only Paid Members may bring guests.
We have cool membership
cards, too! |
7) How many guests may a member bring
to an event?
Two. Remember, however, that all guests are strictly YOUR
responsibility, so make sure that you only bring people that you
trust completely and would invite into your own home. Also,
please make sure that they understand the rules and basic
protocols. Remember: Guests may never bring guests! |
8) Is there a cut-off date regarding
getting screened before a party?
Yes. You must be screened by Thursday for a weekend event.
The Membership
Committee will do everything possible to arrange meetings so
that you can come, but please remember that they are human and
have lives, too, so if they are deluged with requests, you may
have to wait. So please don't wait until the last minute! |
9) I'm a member of another BDSM
group. Do I still have to meet with someone from the Membership
Committee?
Not necessarily, although the Membership
Committee will need to be notified in advance before
attendance, and references or proof of alternate memberships
will need to be provided. Please e-mail this information to impactmembership@yahoo.com.
We honor our sister
club in Nashville's memberships, also. |
10) Why are the rules regarding
memberships and guests being more strictly enforced?
At one time, we were a small enough group so that in essence
everyone pretty much knew everyone else. As we grow into a much
larger and dynamic group, stricter security is required in order
to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone who attends our
facility. These are not "new" rules; this is how we
originally intended Impact to operate! |
